I remember I was in eighth grade, I haven’t let my memories fade
I walked into the new school, and saw her; Peculiar activities and childish traits
I went to her and said hello, Greetings exchanged and nothing more to know
Time passed by and she was just a classmate, But who knew what was in our fate
We reached our twelth class, Picking up CMS and finding new ways of timepass
That day we accidentally sat together, Gossiped whatever with no sense to gather
Of course, it was I who did most of the talking, Mine was literally the first time with such story making
With all these going on, we didn’t even realize, When life got along a new sunrise
The “best friend” tag in slam books was no more full of names, Just one person could light all the flames
Three years passed and school life ended, Paths changed but our souls never parted
Cellphones always came to the rescue, When we were left with no single clue
Then fewer talks and lesser meetings, But our friendship had no turnings
No matter how much I lie, She is the one who will always catch me by
She made me dream that I ceased to dare, You-me-imaginations and we had the flair
The smiles and tears that we had along, Still the journey never looks so long
The times we had and the moments we shared, Damn the world, who really cared
Never before I told you this, You gave me an eternal bliss
